    It is very important that you include your Social Security Number, list CMS as your school district, and agree to release Third Party Information when you register online with National Board. The third parties are CMS, DPI, and NCCAT. Your pay increase and renewal credit cannot be issued without your Social Security number, CMS listed as your school district, and the agreement to release information to third parties. If you have already registered and did not provide this information, follow the instructions below to release information to third parties. You will also need to add your Social Security number and CMS as your school district in your National Board online account.
    Go to My Profile and look to the left for Service Request. Scroll down to "I agree to the following policies". Scroll down again until you see "special considerations". Make sure that it says "yes" next to the following statement: Do you wish to have your name released to third-party agencies that may provide incentives, support, and rewards for teachers seeking National Board Certification?

    Before attending your first study group meeting, review the Introduction to National Board Certification Canvas course to assist you with candidate registration, locating and using National Board materials, and creating a timeline for success.
    Click on the Canvas course name below. You will be asked to log into ncedcloud and then you will go directly to the course enrollment page. Review the Introduction to National Board Certification course before beginning one of the component courses. These courses are provided as a courtesy for CMS candidates.     In order to gain the most benefit from the study group meetings, you should download and review the National Board standards, general portfolio instructions, component instructions and scoring rubrics, and all related forms for your certification area prior to your study group meetings. You are encouraged to bring a charged device and earbuds to the study group meetings so that you may access these documents and/or listen to videos as you work in your study groups.

    Our study group meetings will begin for initial and retake candidates on Saturday, September 15th at Spaugh PDC from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Register for 438162 on __MyTalent__ and then return to this site to __choose your breakout session by Monday, September 10th__ so that we may plan for your attendance. You may view the __schedule of breakout sessions for the entire school year__ as well as the __breakout session descriptions__ to help you plan your selection for September 15th. You will register on MyTalent for the study group one time this school year. We will email you monthly to choose your breakout session for each month’s meeting.
    Visit our __Overview Canvas course__ for overview information about the certification process. The Overview course also has discussion groups for each certification area. I encourage you to join a discussion group for your certification area so that you can remain in contact with other CMS candidates in your certification area.     Summer Support Sessions
    Support sessions will be offered this summer for initial and retake candidates. Register on MyTalent for the session(s) of your choice. There are NO STIPENDS or CEUs for attendance at these summer sessions. Each session is offered twice this summer. The initial and repeat sessions contain identical content, so you do not need to register for more than one offering of each support session.
