National Board announced changes to the renewal process. These changes will be effective for candidates achieving National Board certification in 2017 and beyond. The changes will also apply to NBCTs renewing in 2021 or beyond. Read more about these changes on the National Board website.

Study Groups

If you are a CMS NBCT renewing in 2015-2016, join our Renewal candidate study group which meets monthly (October through May) at Spaugh PDC, 1901 Herbert Spaugh Lane, Charlotte, NC, 28208. The renewal study group is available for registration in the Professional Learning section of MyTalent. Search for section 428221 to register in MyTalent.

No funding is provided by the state for the NB Certification renewal fee. Plan to submit your renewal fee prior to the payment deadline. More information about payment plans and deadlines is available at the National Board website link at the top of this wiki page.
