CMS online learning options include:
  • MyPD blended or web-based courses--CMS uses ONL course prefix to identify online courses. Use ONL as keyword to search for online courses. Register in MyPD and complete the course as instructed.
  • Moodle courses--Both central office departments and schools will increase online course offerings through Moodle under the Virtual Learning Tactic Plan. You must register in MyPD for credit and access your course from MyPD.
  • Atomic Learning--Course credit will be imported in May of each year while we have subscriptions for teachers. You must complete at least 10 hours of training for this credit to count toward license renewal. *Please note: Credit for Atomic Learning is handled different from most training. You do not need to register on MyPD for Atomic Learning or print a certificate and edit your MyPD transcript. Every May, there will be a system upload from Atomic Learning to MyPD and your total hours will be automatically posted on MyPD as Atomic Learning technology credits. For login information contact the Technology Help Desk at helpdesk@cms.k12.nc.us or call 980-343-5736.

For outside CMS online courses, we only accept courses offered by NC DPI, colleges and universities, or professional organizations in subject areas.
